Codeanywhere Migration

Your first 10 minutes after leaving Codeanywhere

Follow the fastest route from a new ServerDesk account to a verified Explorer, terminal, and Robbie-assisted workspace.

Last updated: 16 June 2026

Minute 1 to 3: gather the right details

Before you sign in anywhere, collect the real server hostname, SSH port, username, authentication method, and target root path. If the project lived in a Codeanywhere workspace, make sure the files and hidden configuration values have already been exported safely.

Minute 4 to 6: test the new connection

Create the server connection in ServerDesk and run the connection test before saving. A passing test confirms the host is reachable, the credentials are accepted, and the selected root path is real for that account.

Minute 7 to 10: verify the live workspace

Open Explorer, confirm the expected project files are present, then open Terminal and run simple read-only commands such as `pwd` and `ls -la`. If the codebase is unfamiliar, ask Robbie to explain the current file or the first terminal error you encounter.
