Getting started with ServerDesk

Set up your account, connect a server, open the workspace, and make your first safe change in ServerDesk.

Last updated: 16 June 2026

Your first session

A clean first session starts with account verification, one connection to a non-critical server, and a small test change. This validates authentication, explorer access, editor save behaviour, and terminal connectivity in one pass.

  • Verify the account from the welcome email.
  • Create one SSH or SFTP connection with the correct hostname, port, and username.
  • Open a familiar file, review it, and make a small reversible edit.

Workspace layout

The left side of the workspace handles connections and explorer content. The center is the editor area. The bottom panel is for terminal, problems, and output. Robbie AI is available for product help and workspace analysis.

Safer first-day habits

Use staging or a low-risk environment first, validate the current working directory in terminal, and avoid making multiple production changes before you are comfortable with the workflow.
